As I mentioned previously, this is the second year I’ll be participating in the Book Blogger’s Love-A-Thon. This year, the event is being hosted by Alexa ofAlexa Loves Books, Hazel of Stay Bookish, Mel of The Daily Prophecy and Cee of the The Novel Hermit. Sign-ups are still open so there’s time if you want to join in (and you should) and the Love-A-Thon takes place from February 20th – 22nd. It’s the perfect way to meet new book bloggers and make new friends<3

The Challenge: We all love books, but there are other things we’re passionate about too! Mash-up a non-bookish hobby/passion/talent/fandom with your bookish life. Do it through photos, art, videos, etc. Get as creative as you’d like!
I’m a lover of all things fairytale related so for this challenge I chose to pair up each book in The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer with some of my favorite Disney collectibles. I especially love that we’re living in a time where Star Wars counts as part of the Disney family<3
Irregular Choice is combining forces with Disney to bring us a truly whimsical collection of footwear! So far only one style has been released but it’s a MUST for any Alice in Wonderland fan. The collection goes on sale on February 26th (I know I’ll have my quick-clicking-shopping-
I have been telling myself for a while that Tsum Tsums will be a slippery slope for me if I cave in and start going all out. I’ve been exerting the utmost self control when I see them enter the Disney Store on Tsum Tsum Tuesday’s (the first Tuesday of each month) and I’ve managed to only buy some favorites thus far (the Christmas collection, Minnie, Peter Pan & Hook) but trust me when I say that the struggle is real. Enter, my downfall. Star Wars Tsum Tsums guys! STAR WARS! TSUM TSUMS! I have just been waiting for the day that this collection would be released and I’m super hoping this won’t be some type of gateway for me but GUH I need so many of them. ESPECIALLY Han and Leia. And Boba Fett. And R2. And Chewy. These beautiful little bb’s come out on February 16th.
Yesterday while surfing the internet I came across the cutest Disney Christmas artwork by Dylan Bonner and I knew I had to share them here! He took Disney characters and drew them in scenes of popular Christmas films which is basically my dream mash up. Of course Home Alone Rapunzel and Elf Ariel, and Polar Express Peter Pan are my three favorites!
If you’ve been spending any time around my blog this past month you may have noticed that I have an undying love of all things Christmas. Because of this love and my passion for different fandoms I’m incapable of passing up a great decoration especially if it makes a character I love a little more festive. My two favorite sets of decorations I’ve purchased this season are Star Wars Itty Bittys which are available at Hallmark stores and the holiday box of Tsum Tsums. I bought Yoda, C3PO and Chewbacca from the Star Wars collection but there’s also an adorable R2D2 that I need to complete the set. I didn’t pick him up at the same time because he looks like a reindeer and sadly, all of the antlers on the ones in the store were bent :-/ The holiday Tsum Tsum box can be purchased at the Disney Store and it includes Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Donald and Daisy! What are your favorite fandom decorations?
Now that Andrew and I are going to be moving in together soon, I’ve been putting a lot more thought into our future home decor. Obviously the most fun part of that thinking involves decorations, but more specifically Disney decorations. We spent last weekend trimming the tree and my parents house and while I love all of the ornaments we’ve been using for years, I think my aesthetic is going to be much pinker and exclusively Disney. My favorite ornament of the bunch is definitely the Beast primping in the bathtub and the Sleeping Beauty and Tangled Mickey ears are close seconds. To see all of the purchasing information for each ornament, you can view the full set on Polyvore!
Hi everyone! One thing I am an avid collector of are mugs and tea cups. There’s certainly nothing that pairs with reading better than a piping hot cup of tea if you ask me and I like to have a wide variety of drinkware to fit my mood. I collected all of my mugs and tea cups into this video so I could share some of my favorites with you! Tell me in the comments what your favorite mugs are and which tea is your drink of choice!
Last weekend Andrew and I attended Erika and Kelly’s after Halloween party. It’s an annual party they host and it’s always called the Menage-a-Party because it’s a combined celebration for Halloween, Day of the Dead and Guy Fawkes Day. This was the 5th year they hosted it (and my second year in attendance) and as always, costumes were required. Since we were driving instead of commuting from NYC like last year, it was much easier to bring things along so of course my DSLR one of the first things I threw into my purse. I also made some salted caramel pretzel blondie bars and we picked up a bottle of wine on the way. Andrew and I dressed up as Mickey and Minnie Mouse! It was a really last minute costume idea but I think it came together nicely considering the only expense was Mickey ears for Andrew. I really want to dress up in more Disney couples costumes with my future husband<3 It was so much fun seeing everyone’s costumes (Kelly made an amazing Rey costume, Erika and Alex dressed up as Coraline and Wybie, Gil took on Gaby from The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Steph made the cutest Totoro, and Nick and Melissa were the perfect Bob and Linda – I particularly love Nick’s Gandalf sign – Not pictured is Matt who dressed as Star-Lord and his fiancé Claire who dressed up as Elsa). The only downside of being the photographer is not being able to be in as many photos so I may have to hand the camera off to Andrew at some point next party ^.^
Halloween is in the air so it felt right to devote this next art gallery installment to The Nightmare Before Christmas. Part of my undying love for this Tim Burton animated film is that it allows us to get the best of both worlds, Halloween and Christmas. Christmas is my favorite holiday ever and Halloween is a close second so this story appeals to me on many levels. I love how Jack has an existential crisis and feels the need to search for more in his life. I re-watched this movie just last weekend after a day full of pumpkin picking and it was the perfect autumn pick me up. I could listen to the soundtrack on repeat for a really long time without ever getting sick of it.
Like many other fans, I’ve been getting so excited for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and that excitement has caused many viewings of the original trilogy which made me think about how great it would be to pay homage to my favorite intergalactic duo in my newest Art Gallery post. Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon and his second in command, the Wookie named Chewbacca have always been my two favorite characters in Star Wars (Princess Leia comes in at number 2 after Han though. Then there’s R2 and C3PO. Then Chewie!). I talked about my love of the Millennium Falcon in a recent 5 Fandom Friday post and my statements still stand.
