Pokemon Art Academy Event At Nintendo World

This past weekend, Andrew and I took a slight detour before admiring these beautiful trees in Central Park, and we visited Nintendo World in NYC.  When we arrived at the store, we headed straight upstairs to the Pokemon section, because obviously.  It turned out there was a Pokemon Art Academy event going on to celebrate the new game (which I’ve had on wishlist foreverrrrr) which came out on Friday.  There was a life size Pikachu running around the store, dancing, shaking, and most entertainingly, making some customers slightly uncomfortable (see video).  We also had a chance to try out Pokemon Art Academy and we got free sketchbooks and lollipops.  There was an abundance of plush Pokemon in stock which I hope are still there when I finish attending all these weddings as of late!  I drew a Squirtle face and Andrew drew a Togepi.  We also found a huge Zelda chest full of Link’s fighting gear which was displayed to promote Hyrule Warriors.  And it wouldn’t be a trip to the Nintendo Store without checking out what they’ve lined their historical display cases with.  Before we left, I also picked up a little Venosaur for my bookshelf ^.^
