Central Park In Autumn

“It was one of those perfect autumn days so common in stories and so rare in the real world.” – Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind

Yesterday just so happened to be one of those perfect autumn days <3  My love Andrew and I spent our Saturday strolling through Central Park, Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice lattes in hand, admiring the incredible beauty of nature.  The changing colors of the leaves were so bold and the sun was shining so brightly against a brilliant sky that it felt like we were in a painting.  Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year for so many reasons.  First and foremost, it’s one step closer to Christmas season, but I also love breaking out my boots, scarves, sweaters and leather jackets, switching over to hot teas and lattes and seasonal flavored desserts, purchasing new office supplies and pretending that I’m going back to school shopping, and of course, the crisp, cool air, colorful fallen leaves, and just the general sense of excitement that autumn always tends to inspire.  I mean seriously, what sounds better than donning a cozy sweater, throwing on your favorite scarf and boots, and heading to Central Park with the company of a good book and the warmth of a salted caramel mocha?  Here are some of my favorite photos I took yesterday.  I’m quite proud of these, especially the Bow Bridge which you may remember seeing on Doctor Who!
